What is Mass?: A Wedding Feast

by Mark Hart – excerpt from LifeTeen.com

Now a lot times we think the bride wears the white dress to show that she’s a virigin or that she’s pure, and that is part of the tradition. In this case, the linen garment shows in an outward way that on the inside is pure. This is one of the reasons that in Corinthians the Church says before you go to receive the Eucharist, you should be in a state of grace. You should not have serious sin. You should not have mortal sin in your soul. You should go to Confession before you go to Communion. What the Church is trying to teach us, what God is revealing to St. John to reveal to us is Revelation. The book of Revelation is not a book of damnation and hell; the book of Revelation is about a wedding.

Christ the King

This Sunday is the Solemnity of Christ the King! Remember, we do not have Life Teen. However, we will have a Eucharistic Procession following the 5:30 pm Mass. Please join us as we process through the streets with Christ the King – the Eucharist!

We will also have a covered dish supper, in the Parish Hall, following the procession. Click on the above image to listen to LIFE TEEN’s Sunday, Sunday, Sunday podcast for an overview of this Sunday’s Readings.

WipeOut – This Sunday

What are the things about the Church that you question? The things that make you “wipeout” and check out? That’s what this Sunday’s Life Night is all about – those questions. So bring your questions this Sunday to the Life Night. You’ll have an opportunity to ask them, and hopefully get some answers.

This Sunday – Adoration

Parents and Teens,

This year has been going great! God is totally transforming hearts and lives through the movement of our ministry.

The past two Sundays, we’ve been talking with the parents and the teens about the upcoming changes to the Liturgical Missal that will be implemented on November 27th of this year. If you’ve not attended for whatever reason, we didn’t want you to miss this Sunday’s gathering.

We are meeting in the Parish Hall, immediately following the 5:30 pm Mass.

Parents and teens will be together this Sunday. Around 7:15 pm, we will transition from the Hall to the Church for Adoration, Praise & Worship and Benediction. Please make it a priority to attend. We want to provide an opportunity for you and your family to have some time to pray together as a family!
