Flood

If any of you would be interested in lending a helping hand to those in our community who’ve been affected, we have some information to share with you. We are partnering with Diocesan Office of Justice and Peace, as well as, the VOAD (Volunteer Organizations in Active Disaster) Coalition. Our role will be to provide these two organizations with volunteers for clean up and long term recovery – helping people get their lives back. If you are interested in helping, please send an email to flood@sprcc.org and provide us with your contact information. Of course we will be offering service hours for those Confirmation Candidates who are need of them. But more importantly, this will be an opportunity to bring the love and hope of Jesus to people, who more than likely, are struggling in this moment to see Him.
Please continue to keep our community and the people who have experienced great loss in your prayers!
blindsided – life night on the magesterium
Tonight at Life Night we talked about the Teaching Authority of the Church and how the Church exists to guide us to truth. In one of the Small Groups, a teen asked about Gay Marriage. She posed her question by saying that they loved each other and God created them that way. Although they may “love” each, and God in fact did create them that way, there is still no excuse to go against the truth of the Sacrament of Marriage or is it permission to live against God’s plan.
This is an articl that gives hope to any of us that may struggle with sins of the flesh.
